So another festival season has come and gone. A few photos from the final weekend, and an inquiry behind the cut:

My favorite discovery this year? Ribbon fries. They've been there. I just didn't know about it. Unfortunately, they ran out of vinegar the last day, but I did get one final greasy tray of them.

Probably my least favorite change was the loss of the Pub Sing, but not for any of the oft-mentioned reasons. It took me to the end of the festival to realize that it was a single meeting point for so many of us at the end of the day. You could check in there for ten minutes and find out how somebody's day/week/season has been, because practically everybody was there. You could catch up with old friends or plan dinner. You could offer feedback on shows or giggle about something bizarre that happened. The Pub Sing provided closure to the day in a way that a closing ceremony can't because it doesn't encourage interaction with other humans. Not that I generally condone interaction with other humans. Well... with a special few. You know who you are.

So, out of curiosity, what was your favorite and least favorite thing this year?

Oh! And go vote on your favorite new 2007 acts and vendors. And stuff.
